Why this caught my eye:

I like the road trip adventure set-up, and the art for the preview pages looks like a lot of fun.

Opposites attract in this friends-to-lovers Boys' Love tale! To escape his reputation as a misunderstood loner, Leo attends a university far from home. Why this caught my eye:

I've heard good things about Nagisa Furuya's My Summer of You but haven't checked it out yet. This looked like it could be charming and worth a look.

COMING BACK HC GN

(W) Jessi Zabarsky (A) Jessi Zabarsky

Preet is magic.

Valissa is not.

Everyone in their village has magic in their bones, and Preet is the strongest of them all. Without any power of her own, how can Valissa ever be worthy of Preet's love? When their home is attacked, Valissa has a chance to prove herself, but that means leaving Preet behind. On her own for the first time, Preet breaks the village's most sacred laws and is rejected from the only home she's ever known and sent into a new world.

Divided by different paths, insecurities, and distance, will Valissa and Preet be able to find their way back to each other?

A beautiful story of two young women who are so focused on proving they're meant to be together that they end up hurting each other in the process. This gorgeous graphic novel is an LGTBQ+ romance about young love and how it can grow into something strong no matter what obstacles get in the way.

Why this caught my eye:

Zabarsky really impressed me with their debut Witchlight book so I've been eager to see more work from them. This sounds like it will be very sweet and a lot of fun.

HEARTSTOPPER HC GN VOL 04

(W) Alice Oseman (A) Alice Oseman

The fourth volume in the wonderfully sweet Heartstopper series, featuring gorgeous two-color artwork!

Soon to be streaming on Netflix!

Charlie and Nick's relationship has been going really well, and Charlie thinks he's ready to say those three little words: I love you.

Nick feels the same way, but he's got a lot on his mind -- especially the thought of coming out to his dad and the fact that Charlie might have an eating disorder.

As a new school year begins, Charlie and Nick will have to learn what love really means.

Why this caught my eye:

This has been a pretty heartwarming series, and I actually just now learned it will have a Netflix series so it's just great to see it continuing on and doing so well.

WITCHY VOL 02

(W) Ariel Ries (A/CA) Ariel Ries

In the witch kingdom Hyalin, the strength of your magic is determined by the length of your hair.

Low on magic and on the run after committing the ultimate heresy of cutting one's hair, Nyneve and her raven companion, Banana, head into an ancient forest in search of safe transport. However, when Nynever butts heads with the gruff and overbearing

broom-maker Kaveh, she starts to wonder if she wouldn't be better off in the hands of the Witch Guard.

Why this caught my eye:

I absolutely adored the first Witchy book and Ariel Ries' storytelling was just topnotch. I've been hoping to see this released in print for a while so I'm pretty excited to see it.

That's it for this batch, we'll hit horror on the next round!
