Upcoming Comics Spotlight: Superheroes

There's a healthy amount of new superhero titles on the way that look pretty interesting, so let's see if we can catch up on some of this queue we're building.

You'll see that I'll try to include a little order code with most items (ex:FEB211476). Show some love to your retailer and use those codes when you can, it saves a lot of time on the data entry end of things.

VIGILANT TP

(W) Simon Furman, Simon Coleby, Dani (A) Henrik Sahlstrom, Warwick Fraser-Combe, Staz Johnson

Lost in the mists of time, home-grown British super-heroes once entertained and enthralled millions of kids... Now, the likes of Adam Eterno, Blake Edmonds, Thunderbolt the Avenger, and The Leopard from Lime Street are back for a new generation of readers.

FEB211476

Why this caught my eye:

I always like to see what Furman is doing these days as I'm a fan of his older Transformers work, plus this is sort of giving off the same vibe as The Twelve.

WAY OF X #1

(W) Si Spurrier (A) Bob Quinn (CA) Giuseppe Camuncoli

THE WAY TO THE FUTURE OF X!

Mutantkind has built a new Eden... but there are serpents in this garden. Some mutants struggle to fit in. Some mutants turn to violence and death. And the children whisper of the Patchwork Man, singing in their hearts...Only one mutant senses the looming shadows. Snared by questions of death, law and love, only NIGHTCRAWLER can fight for the soul of Krakoa. Only he - and the curious crew he assembles - can help mutants defeat their inner-darkness and find a new way to live. The WAY OF X.

SI SPURRIER (X-MEN LEGACY) and BOB QUINN (CAPTAIN AMERICA) push the frontiers of Krakoa in this unmissable entry into the bold new REIGN OF X. FEB210518

Why this caught my eye:

I really like Hickman's use of Nightcrawler in the House of X stuff, and I love me some Spurrier, so this just sounds like it will be interesting. Plus just wanted to highlight for all the Nightcrawler fans.

New villains! New allies! A thrilling overseas adventure begins for the Dark Knight, starting with an extra-sized 26-page debut story!

Why this caught my eye:

The title has changed so don't get confused by the image, but Tom Taylor has been killing it over at DC and it's nice to see Andy Kubert back on Batman.

Why this caught my eye:

The concept sounds interesting and Sadzinski's art looks like fun.

WHITE #1

(W) Kwanza Osajyefo (A) Jamal Igle (CA) Khary Randolph

The team that asked, "What if only Black people had superpowers?" is back with the sequel to the critically acclaimed series, BLACK. It's been three years since the world learned only Black people have superhuman abilities, and the United States has responded by electing Theodore Mann to the presidency. The only person standing in the way of his policies to control empowered Blacks are Kareem Jenkins and his allies. WHITE comics are limited to 2,500 copies each, grab them before they sell out! FEB211157

Why this caught my eye:

It's been a while since the previous series Black came out so just wanted to highlight this solicitation, plus these will have a pretty limited run so best to get on board early.

I've got a soft spot for Darkhawk, ok? It's nice that they brought back Fingeroth and Manley, and I love Dan Abnett cosmic Marvel stuff.

I love me some Tomasi DC and it's nice to see DC bringing back this pair.
