Why this caught my eye:

The solicit kinda just won me over with the term 'hutt-sized'.

A poignant, blood-soaked tale expanding the rich mythology of Frank Herbert's Dune by New York Times bestselling authors Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson with artist Adam Gorham (The New Mutants: Dead Souls, Punk Mambo).

MAY210952

Why this caught my eye:

We're inching ever so closer to the new Dune's release, so thought it was worth highlighting that Boom is still getting new books out. Plus Gorham's art is looking pretty solid in the preview pages.

SMART GIRL HC

THE ACCLAIMED ARTIST OF BLADE RUNNER ORIGINS, FERNANDO DAGNINO, DEBUTS HIS STUNNING ORIGINAL SCI-FI COMIC!

A gorgeous black & white cyberpunk tale showcasing the artistic talent of DC and Blade Runner artist, Fernando Dagnino.

MAY211745

Why this caught my eye:

While the story sounds kind of like a run of the mill cyberpunk plot, Dagino's B&W work does look really great so this should be work checking out for the art alone.

BLACK BEACON #1

(W) Ryan Lindsay (A/CA) Sebastian Piriz

There's an intergalactic space station out there bigger than our solar system where wants everyone to come along and meet up. The beacon made it sound like a utopia, but what Niko finds upon her arrival is a lawless expanse where everyone is out for themselves and she's so late she doesn't even have a seat at the table. A story of survival, truth, and experience lies in front of Niko if she can figure out who to trust and what to do before the secret of her journey catches up with her.

MAY211491

Why this caught my eye:

I really like the pitch that the usual alien invitation to a bigger community turns out to kinda just be a scam.

That's it for this batch, we'll hit fantasy next!
