Marvel and Scholastic announced plans to publish all-new content for younger readers. Miles Morales will be the first to be released, with popular characters Shuri and Ms. Marvel soon to follow.
While Marvel had previously licenced a chunk of their properties to IDW for publishing new all-ages books, joining forces with Scholastic will definitely increase the reach of Marvel's brands. As reported by Brian Hibbs over at The Beat, Scholastic has been the reigning champion of comic sales in bookstores. It seemed to be just a matter of time before Disney/Marvel would see the possibilities of partnering up with them to get their characters into the hands of as many kids as possible. Expect some sale records to be shattered.
